Congratulations on taking the first step to make changes in your life! Whether you’re at the beginning of your wellness and fitness journey or further along, I specialize in helping women redefine their health, wellness, and fitness. With my coaching, you will identify and achieve your goals, leading to increased confidence, strength, and balance. I can help you break through physical challenges such as menopause, weight management, or raising H1C levels. If you are an active ager or want to become one, together we build strength, stability, endurance, and balance. These years should be our best. you are worth it. This work can also help you align your lifestyle to improve your body and mind, enhancing your overall health and wellness.
I was 28 when I lost my mother to lung cancer, and she was 56. This loss strengthened my desire to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. I began exploring ways to improve my physical and emotional health, the love/hate relationship I had with food, alcohol, smoking, and inconsistencies with exercise.
In my forties, watching women around me changing physically and hearing the angst of menopause symptoms, I knew it was time to launch into the world of health, wellness, and fitness. I experienced early onset menopause symptoms in my forties. This gives me firsthand experience and empathy for us mid-lifers and all the fluctuations we get to explore. As I’m inching closer to 60, I am becoming more aware of the additional health challenges that come with aging, including musculoskeletal, hormonal/endocrine, neurological, cardiovascular, and psychological conditions. Seeing my dear friends in their 80s struggle with a lack of movement, balance, and strength, often ending in a bone-breaking fall, tugs at my heartstrings. Regular physical activity and lifestyle medicine can prevent many of these obstacles.
This desire to help others and myself inspired me to become a Certified Personal Trainer in 2016, but this was just the beginning. The field of Corrective Exercise became my first specialty; in addition, I became a certified Active Aging Coach and Mobility Specialist. I wanted to understand the influence of lifestyle and multidimensional wellness models, which led me to become a health and wellness coach. This, along with behavior change, supported my work in the fitness arena and gave me a deeper understanding of how I can be helpful to you.
It has been a dream of mine to work alongside women and see them grow in their self-confidence, strength, security, and overall contentment. This work has been a gift.
